Dear Prospective Students and Families:

We are thankful for your interest in Gilbert Christian Schools. As you make your decision for pre-kindergarten through 6th grades, we ask that you give us the opportunity to have you see what God is doing at GCS.

We have a shadowing program where you can spend the day with us, attend classes, and ask questions of students. We would also encourage you to tour our beautiful facility to gain a better understanding of how far God has brought us in just over 10 years of existence.

To shadow or tour our campus, please call Mrs. Wallace, the school secretary, at 480-279-1366.

Admission Requirements, Pre-Kindergarten through 6th Grades

Spiritual: It is required that the student or one of the parents has made a profession of faith in Christ. The student and parents should understand and affirm their agreement with the Gilbert Christian Schools mission statement and statement of faith. In the case of an unbelieving student or parent, there must be agreement, understanding, and support of our teachings and beliefs.

Behavior: Students abide by a code of conduct requiring discipline, respect for authority, neatness in physical appearance, courteous and appropriate speech, and absence from tobacco, drugs, and alcohol.

Academic: For students in pre-kindergarten through 6th grades, our goals are to provide basic core knowledge to our students that prepare them for the rigors of our junior high and high school program, as well as for them to have a better understanding of the world created by God. With that said, we do make room for a limited number of students labeled outside of our environment with an educational disability (ie., learning disabilities, educable mentally handicapped, attention deficit disorders, etc.). These students are mainstreamed into a regular classroom. An interview by the principal with the student and parents is required.

Admission Process

This is the admissions process we have for new students wanting to be educated at Gilbert Christian Schools:

  1. A family shows interest through a phone call and signing up for a wait list meeting;
  2. Attend a wait list meeting with the administrator. Several wait list meetings are held throughout the school year. These meetings are designed to inform parents about the unique educational opportunities at Gilbert Christian Schools. A brief history of the school, an overall review of the curriculum, and a tour with observations of our outstanding instructional methods are covered in the wait list meeting;
  3. After attending the wait list meeting, parents are informed of any openings or are placed on the wait list for future openings;
  4. When an opening occurs, families are contacted in the order they first called the office; and
  5. A request for information is completed by the family when they accept an opening.
