When you walk onto the Gilbert Christian Schools (GCS) campus, it is quickly apparent that you are at a very special place.
You will notice well-equipped classrooms overlooking carefully-maintained school grounds. You will see students receiving individual attention from caring, godly men and women who take pride in equipping their students both academically and spiritually. You will notice small class sizes which foster individualized instruction and accelerated learning. You will notice quality interactions occurring between students, parents and staff that can only be found where individuals desire to glorify and honor God in everything they do.
GCS serves students in Pre-kindergarten through 12th grades. The school meets the needs of all students through Gilbert Christian Elementary (Pre-kindergarten – 5th grades), Gilbert Christian Middle School (6th – 8th Grades) and Gilbert Christian High School (9th – 12th grades).
GCS combines the sense of community that can only be found on a smaller school campus with a comprehensive offering of academics, fine arts, athletics, clubs and spiritual training.
At GCS we feel blessed to partner with parents in providing instruction for the spiritual growth of their children. To do this we have created a school culture following the wisdom of Proverbs 22:6 which reads “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Staff members come alongside parents to help Christian students mature in their faith and witness to those who do not know the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Students are guided in their development of a Christian world view that allows them to understand today’s world through the lens of Scripture.
Elementary students are involved in scripture memorization and are taught directly from the Bible each day. Sixth through 12th-grade students at GCS receive daily instruction in Bible class.
Teaching methods include reading, memorization, small groups, discussion, and lecture for the purpose of applying the truth of God’s Word to the lives of students. Additional scheduled times of praise and worship are provided for the entire school body.
Aside from the core academic subjects, fine arts are a required subject for all levels at GCS. Elementary students begin with art classes and strings instruction. Middle school and high school students participate in either choir, drama, strings, art or yearbook.
