Dear Prospective Students and Families:

Welcome to Gilbert Christian Schools! Please feel free to stop in for a tour of our beautiful campus. Better yet, call the office to schedule an appointment to observe our outstanding instructional methods. Students entering Grades 7-12 can even shadow a student for the day!

To shadow or tour our campus, please call the office at 480-279-1366.

Admission Requirements: Middle School

Spiritual: It is required that the student or one of the parents have made a profession of faith in Christ. The student and parents should understand and affirm agreement with the Gilbert Christian Schools mission statement and statement of faith. In the case of an unbelieving student or parent, there must be agreement, understanding, and support of our teachings and beliefs.

Behavior: Students abide by a code of conduct requiring discipline, respect for authority, neatness in physical appearance, courteous and appropriate speech, abstinence from tobacco, drugs, and alcohol, and a commitment to the use of leisure time which is consistent with Christian character.

Academic: We seek students willing to accept the challenge of a rigorous program of academics, fine arts, extracurricular activities, and athletics in a caring Christian environment designed to prepare students for college and for life. Students accepted in middle school grades are placed on academic and social probation for the first nine-week grading quarter. Gilbert Christian Schools attempts to serve a large cross section of students, including those with average and above-average abilities. Students labeled with an educational disability (ie., learning disabilities, educable mentally handicapped, attention deficit disorder, etc.) may be accepted, but only with principal and/or teacher approval.

Admission Process

The following is the admissions process for new students wanting to be educated at Gilbert Christian Schools:

  1. Pick up a pre-enrollment application in the school office. This packet contains a student questionnaire/assessment, space for both student and parent(s) to share their statements of faith, and a reference request form (contact information only). We also ask that you provide a copy of your child’s most current report card/transcript (when applicable).
  2. Return this packet to the school office within one week. Administration will then review your information and contact your references.
  3. If your child is entering Grades 7-12, a student/parent interview will be scheduled with an administrator.
  4. The school registrar will contact you as to whether your application has been approved or declined. If classroom space is available at that time, you will officially be offered a spot. If classroom space is not available at that time, you will be notified that you have been placed on the future families list.
  5. The school registrar will make an appointment for you to come in and pick up an enrollment packet (family information, medical information, etc.). This meeting will last approximately 15 minutes.
  6. You will have three days to return the completed enrollment packet, building fee, and tuition deposit in order to secure your child’s spot.

Please do not be discouraged if space is not available at the time you pick up your pre-enrollment application! Enrollment can change on a weekly—sometimes even daily—basis during the summer months. And with the transfer of our high school students to their new campus next year, we are in the unique position of being able to open additional classes if the interest warrants. Therefore, we highly encourage you to start the enrollment process and get “pre-approved” to prevent any delays.

“Future Families Meetings” are held throughout the school year. These meetings are designed to inform parents about the unique educational opportunities at Gilbert Christian Schools. A brief history of the school, an overall review of the curriculum, and a tour are covered in these meetings. Please call the school office at 480-279-1366 to inquire about the next available Future Families Meeting.
