Mrs. Field, Middle School ScienceMrs. Field has a B.S. in Physics and 25 graduate hours from San Diego State University as a McNair scholar. She previously taught 2 1/2 years at college level. She worked as research scientist for two years. For the past nine years, she stayed at home with her children. Mrs. Field and her husband David have four children.

Mr. Bartlett (Bart) Fleming, Middle School Spanish
Mr. Fleming is a graduate of the University of Arizona, with a BA in Political Science and Speech Communications. He did post Graduate work in Communications at ASU. He also studied Spanish during his undergraduate work. While in college he appeared in several Spanish productions of dramatic plays. Mr. Fleming was elected Arizona State Treasurer in 1974. He later served as a senior official in President Reagan's administration. On several occasions, Mr. Fleming was sent to Puerto Rico to represent the Administration at oficial events and ceremonies. While working in the nation's capitol he was a principle member of the Latin American Core Fellowship of the annual National Prayer Breakfast. The Fellowship hosted senior elected government officials and business leaders from Latin American countries who were in Washington attending the week long events associated with the Prayer Breakfast.

Mrs. Hightower, Middle School and High School Physical EducationMrs. Hightower holds a BA in sociology and Spanish, American Council on Exercise Fitness Instructor Certification 1992-2004, and AZ Community College Special Teaching Certificate Dance/Aerobics 1992-2001.

Miss Orrett, Middle School English Miss Orrett received her BA in Spanish and BA in International Studies from Pepperdine University. After earning her two degrees, she felt God calling her into the educational field. Miss Orrett attained a M.Ed. and California Teaching Credential from Azusa Pacific University. Miss Orrett had acquired two years of teaching experience in California and then moved to Arizona in 2007. She has been teaching at GCS since then and continues to look forward to the plans God has for her and her students in Arizona. Besides teaching, Miss Orrett enjoys snowboarding, going to the movies and theater, and traveling.

Mr. Patterson, Middle School and High School Physical Education
Mr. Patterson graduated from Arizona State University in 1989 receiving a bachelors of science degree in Bio Mechanics. While at ASU, Mr. Patterson played as a defensive lineman for ASU Sun Devil Football. After college, Mr. Patterson played as a defensive lineman for the Green Bay Packers Football Team for six years. He then worked as a custom home builder. Mr. Patterson and his wife, Jackie, have four children who attend GCS.

Mrs. Patterson, Middle School Social Studies
Mrs. Patterson graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in 1990 receiving a BS in communication and business. For the past 16 years she has been at home raising her four children. Upon her last child entering GCS she began substituting during the 2006-2007 school year. This is her third year teaching junior high History. Mrs. Patterson and her husband, Shawn, have four children who attend GCS.

Mrs. Pierce, Middle School and High School Social StudiesMrs. Pierce attended Cal State Fullerton and is currently completing certification through Liberty College. She has taught kindergarden and first grade students at Orangewood Christian School in Tustin, California. She and her husband, Ned, moved to Arizona where they ran her own printing business for 15 years. Mrs. Pierce and her husband have four boys who attend GCS. Mrs. Pierce is excited to begin her second year in GCS Social Studies.

Mr. Jerome Redding, Middle School BibleMr. Redding has a bachelor's degree in Pulpit Communications from Tennessee Temple University and a M.Div. in Christian Education from Temple Baptist Seminary in Chattanooga, TN. Before coming to GCS, Mr. Redding served as a youth pastor in student ministries and has worked in sales for a Christian home and education publishing company. Mr. Redding has also worked in painting and interior design with his wife Lynda for three years. Mr. Redding and his wife, Lynda, of 25 years have two grown daughters.

Miss Roberson, Middle School and High School ChoirMiss Roberson received her Bachelor of Music Education from Texas Tech University and Master of Music in Choral Conducting from the Conservatory of Music at the Universtiy of Missouri Kansas City. Besides the daily classes for junior high and senior high choirs, she has established an upper elementary choir that meets one afternoon a week after school. Prior to coming to Arizona, Miss Roberson has spent 34 years teaching vocal music in Texas and Kansas primarily to junior and senior high students.

Mr. Rummel, Middle School Mathematics Mr. Rummel is excited to teach Mathematics at GCS. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees in Mathematics at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ.

Mrs. Scott, Junior High ComputersMrs. Scott has been teaching at the community college level for over ten years. She has also substitute taught for Gilbert Public Schools and Chandler Unified School District. Both her BS and MA are from the University of New Mexico.

Mr. Wilkison, Strings
Mr. Wilkison holds a Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance from the University of Michigan School of Music. He joined the first violin section of the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra in 1984, and after eighteen seasons with the orchestra, he came to GCS as the strings teacher. He is also the coach of the GCS cross country teams. He and his wife have three children.
